Click&Boat is a rental platform product of Boats Group, the fastest-growing digital business in the recreational boating space. We are a talented team of techies, creatives, marketers, closers and customer advocates who spend each day pushing the boundaries of technology to make buying, selling & renting boats easy.
Click&Boat is the European leader in boat rentals, with over €170M in annual GMV and a community of 2.4M+ registered users across 150+ countries worldwide. Our marketplace makes boating accessible around the globe, from a day trip to a week-long adventure, while enabling private and professional boat owners to generate additional income through rentals.
To fuel our next phase of growth, we're hiring a Head of Paid Acquisition to own and scale our paid marketing strategy, based in our Barcelona office.
We're looking for a Head of Paid Acquisition to join our crew in Barcelona and own the strategy behind how we acquire renters and boat owners at scale, across all our markets.
Paid acquisition is a core growth lever for Click&Boat, sitting at the intersection of performance marketing, data, and brand. You'll lead a team of 3, own the paid media P&L, and work in close, day-to-day collaboration with Global Group Head of Performance (based in Miami) to align on global strategy, share learnings across the Group's marketplaces, and make the most of our combined scale.
Given the strategic weight of paid acquisition in our growth model, you'll report and present regularly to our Executive Board as well as to Boats Group stakeholders, on performance, strategy, and investment decisions.
Define and own the paid acquisition strategy (SEA, paid social, display/programmatic, app campaigns) across all markets, to hit revenue, contribution margin, and growth targets.
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 3 Paid Acquisition Managers, setting clear objectives and building a culture of accountability, testing, and continuous improvement.
Own the paid media budget and P&L: allocate spend by market and channel, and manage CAC/ROAS targets with rigor.
Partner closely with Global Group Head of Performance to align on global media strategy, share best practices across the Group's marketplaces, and coordinate shared vendor relationships (Google, Meta, TikTok, etc.) where relevant.
Report to the Executive Board and Boats Group stakeholders on performance and strategy, translating data into clear investment recommendations.
Collaborate closely with Product, Tech, and Data teams on tracking, attribution, and landing page optimisation.
Identify and test new channels and formats, and assess where AI can improve targeting, bidding, or creative performance.
7+ years of experience in paid acquisition / performance marketing, ideally in a B2C, marketplace, e-commerce, or travel environment.
3+ years of experience managing a team, driving performance through coaching, prioritisation, and clear goal-setting.
Deep hands-on expertise across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and programmatic/display, ideally in multi-market, multi-language contexts.
Data-obsessed and analytically rigorous: comfortable building and reading dashboards (Tableau or equivalent) and modeling CAC/LTV/ROAS.
Comfortable operating in a matrixed, international organisation, collaborating with Group stakeholders across time zones.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present clearly and confidently to a Board / C-level audience.
Full proficiency in English is required.
Bonus points (great to have, never a dealbreaker)
Fluent in Spanish or French.
Experience in the travel or marketplace industry.
Experience working within a global group structure, balancing local execution with global alignment.
HR call with our Head of Talent Acquisition
Manager interview with our Head of Paid Acquisition (Group)
Interview with our CTO
Culture fit interview (VP People) / Validation interview (CEO)
We aim to keep things smooth, transparent, and respectful of your time throughout the process.
Real strategic scope: you own paid acquisition end-to-end, with visibility all the way to the Board.
Exposure to a global Group: close, regular collaboration with Boats Group's team in Miami.
23 days of paid leave.
10 extra days off (CAB days).
Restaurant tickets: €3.50 per worked day, 100% paid by CAB.
Flexible retribution.
Wellhub (sport & wellbeing discounts).
Hybrid working arrangement: office Monday to Thursday, remote on Fridays.
