General Manager | Novotel (Peppers) Barossa Valley Resort Nouveau

Set among the rolling hills and sweeping vistas of the Barossa Valley, the Novotel Barossa Valley Resort is looking to the future with exciting refresh plans and a new Peppers brand to match the aesthetic and offering of the resort set for a 2027 launch. The resort offers 140 rooms and apartments in a tranquil setting, overlooking Jacobs Creek vineyards. Guests enjoy resort facilities, including The Cellar Kitchen restaurant, conference & event spaces, an outdoor pool and pool bar, and other outdoor activities including basketball, tennis and easy access to Tanunda Pines Golf Club.

We are seeking a visionary and inspiring General Manager to lead the Novotel (Peppers) Barossa Valley Resort in South Australia’s Barossa Valley. This is a pivotal leadership position where you will oversee all aspects of resort operations, drive strategic initiatives, and deliver exceptional guest and employee experiences while maintaining financial performance and operational excellence. As General Manager, you will be responsible for setting the vision, building and motivating a high-performing team, and ensuring the resort operates at the highest standards of hospitality.

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for all resort operations and functions, including rooms, food and beverage, and recreational facilities.
• Develop and execute business strategies to achieve revenue targets, optimize profitability, and drive sustainable growth
• Oversee budget planning, financial forecasting, and P&L management to ensure fiscal responsibility and operational efficiency
• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of department heads and staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences through quality assurance programs and service standards aligned with brand expectations
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders
• Monitor market trends, competitive positioning, and guest feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and service enhancement
• Oversee capital projects, including the refurbishment and rebranding projects, and resource allocation to optimize asset performance
• Represent the resort at industry events, community functions, and corporate meetings to enhance brand visibility and reputation

• A minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in the hotel industry
• Proven track record of successfully managing hotel/resort operations and delivering outstanding financial results
• Demonstrated success in driving the commercial performance of the business and delivering on KPIs
• Passionate to develop self and others
• Clear communication, creating impactful relationships with your team
• Fosters a positive owner relationship while maximising performance
• Successful project management including execution and delivery
