Head of Commercial Finance Nouveau

This is a crucial appointment for the CFO as the business continues to scale; you'll work with a number of exec stakeholders from various departments, providing insights on a number of interesting projects across the built environment sectors.

A global leader in the consultancy space, the business has recently won contracts for a variety of exciting new projects across Europe, and are continuing to increase their offering within the built environment industries. They're an ambitious and highly competent finance team that require hands on, adaptable professionals that can truly challenge stakeholders and push key strategic, long-term initiatives .

Description

• Act as a key financial partner to the business, using commercial insight and analysis to help shape strategic decisions and evaluate investment opportunities.
• Work closely with operational, technical and client-facing teams to identify opportunities to enhance project returns, improve efficiency and deliver sustainable revenue and margin growth.
• Drive the monthly performance review cycle alongside Regional Directors, providing appropriate challenge while supporting leaders in delivering against their financial objectives.
• Develop meaningful management information, KPI analysis and revenue modelling to identify performance trends, risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to improve profitability, cash generation and overall performance.
• Maintain a strong financial control environment while ensuring the business operates in line with relevant accounting requirements, internal policies and governance standards.
• Provide expertise around revenue recognition and long-term contracts, while working with the wider business to strengthen working capital and cash performance. Ensure complex financial information is communicated in a clear, commercially relevant way to stakeholders.
• Build the strength and capability of the finance function through coaching, development and effective succession planning.

Profile

• ACA qualified, Top 20 audit firm background.
• Strong experience in commercial finance within a built environment or professional services environment.
• International experience, ability to influence stakeholders from various regions.
• Evidence of successfully influencing business outcomes, across a number of departments.
• Excellent senior stakeholder management.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition, WIP and long-term project reporting.
• Excellent skills in financial reporting and compliance.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
