As we enter our next phase of growth and transformation, we are seeking an exceptional Chief Marketing Officer to help define the future of a destination visited by millions each year. This is an opportunity to shape how West HQ is experienced, positioned, remembered and valued across Greater Sydney and beyond.

With a diverse portfolio spanning hospitality, accommodation, fitness, entertainment, events and lifestyle experiences, West HQ is far more than a venue. It is a destination precinct that brings together multiple brands, audiences and experiences under one vision.

Reporting directly to the CEO and working as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role sits at the intersection of brand, customer, commercial growth, experience development and destination strategy.

The Opportunity

As the CMO, you will be equally comfortable discussing strategy in the boardroom, customer behaviour with stakeholders, and creative ideas with agency and marketing teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Define and evolve the West HQ brand and destination proposition, ensuring every interaction strengthens our reputation, relevance and customer experience.
• Shape and influence the long-term destination strategy for West HQ, identifying opportunities that enhance visitation, customer engagement, economic contribution and market position.
• Build distinctive experiences, campaigns and propositions that create awareness, consideration, preference, loyalty and advocacy.
• Drive customer acquisition, retention, membership growth and commercial performance across the portfolio.
• Utilise data, CRM, customer insights and behavioural analytics to inform decision-making and enhance customer lifetime value.
• Lead corporate communications, reputation management, media relations and stakeholder engagement, ensuring West HQ maintains a strong and credible voice.
• Build strategic partnerships across tourism, government, major events, media, community and commercial sectors to strengthen West HQ's destination profile.
• Provide strategic oversight of the Fitness portfolio (SGAC and One55), with a strong focus on membership acquisition, sales performance and revenue growth.
• Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing marketing team that is commercially astute, creatively ambitious and relentlessly focused on outcomes

About You

You are an accomplished executive leader who has a proven ability to connect brand, customer experience and commercial performance, creating sustainable growth through strategic thinking and disciplined execution.

You will bring:

• Significant senior leadership experience in marketing, brand, customer, destination, tourism, hospitality, entertainment or related sectors.
• A track record of driving commercial growth, strengthening market position and building high-performing teams.
• Deep understanding of customer acquisition, retention, loyalty, brand equity and return on investment.
• Strong commercial acumen, including experience influencing business strategy and organisational performance.
• The ability to translate complex customer, market and commercial insights into action.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability.
• Experience navigating complex, multi-brand or multi-service environments.
• A leadership style that balances strategic vision with operational excellence.
