General Manager – Novotel & Ibis Christchurch Nouveau

An exciting opportunity to join Accor. This General Manager opportunity will lead both Novotel Christchurch Cathedral Square and ibis Christchurch, based at Novotel Christchurch in the heart of the city.

The role offers the opportunity to lead two well-established hotels and their teams, driving strong commercial performance, exceptional guest experiences and a positive culture for our Heartists.

You will have overall responsibility for the performance and leadership of both hotels, creating exceptional experiences for our guests and Heartists while delivering strong commercial results.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead, inspire and develop the hotel leadership teams and Heartists.
• Drive commercial performance, profitability and achievement of budgets.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences across both hotels.
• Build a strong, engaged and high-performing culture.
• Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring brand, quality and service standards.
• Develop strong relationships with owners, key stakeholders and the local community.
• Maintain a strong focus on Health & Safety, compliance and operational excellence.

We are looking for an experienced hotel leader with strong commercial acumen, a genuine passion for people and guest experience, and the ability to successfully lead a busy dual-hotel operation.

• Previous General Manager or senior hotel leadership experience, ideally within a multi-hotel environment.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Proven ability to lead, develop and engage high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong operational knowledge across Rooms and Food & Beverage.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Ability to build strong owner and business relationships.
• Experience within an international hotel brand is preferred.
