RBH is delighted to be recruiting a General Manager to join Hilton Garden Inn, Stoke on Trent .
We are within a half mile of the Cultural Quarter, home to The Regent Theatre, Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, and Potteries Shopping Centre. Stoke Rail Station, Waterworld, and Stoke Ski Centre are a mile away. Trentham Monkey Forest, Trentham Gardens, and Bet 365 Stadium are within 15 minutes. Your Impact
As General Manager, you will:
- Drive operational excellence to ensure the hotel consistently delivers outstanding financial, operational, and guest satisfaction results.
- Act as the brand ambassador, ensuring the property aligns with Holiday Inn Express’s renowned global standards.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and leadership of a high-performing team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Create a culture of learning and development, building engagement and growth across all team members.
- Lead commercial and operational strategies to maximize revenue, profitability, and market share in a competitive environment.
- Oversee guest feedback and ensure the hotel achieves and maintains high satisfaction scores.
- Ensure compliance with legal, brand, and health and safety standards, always prioritizing the well-being of guests and staff.
- Build strong relationships with local stakeholders and businesses.
- Collaborate with the wider RBH team to share best practices, implement company initiatives, and stay ahead of industry trends.
About You
You’ll be a seasoned hospitality professional with:
- Proven experience as a General Manager or Deputy General Manager preferably within a branded hotel.
- A strong commercial mindset and a track record of driving revenue and managing budgets effectively.
- Expertise in hotel operations, including rooms and F&B offerings.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills to inspire and develop a diverse team.
- A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences and consistently exceeding expectations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective partnerships with the community.
- Flexibility, resilience, and adaptability in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Familiarity with Hilton systems and processes is highly desirable.
