Senior Revenue Manager

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic and growing international hotel group, is seeking an experienced Senior Revenue Manager to join their operations team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing room revenue and market share across a portfolio of properties by implementing effective revenue management strategies. You will analyze market trends, competitor activities, and demand forecasts to set optimal pricing and inventory strategies. This role requires a strong analytical mind, a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, and the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making. As a remote role, excellent self-management and communication skills are essential. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic revenue management plans to maximize room revenue and RevPAR.
• Analyze market data, competitor pricing, and demand forecasts to inform pricing and inventory strategies.
• Manage room inventory across all distribution channels, ensuring optimal availability and pricing.
• Prepare regular reports and forecasts on revenue performance, market share, and key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align strategies and drive business goals.
• Conduct regular pricing and strategy reviews, making adjustments as needed to respond to market dynamics.
• Utilize revenue management systems and tools effectively to identify opportunities and risks.
• Provide guidance and support to property-level teams on revenue management best practices.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor strategies.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue management, preferably within the hotel or travel industry.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing revenue management strategies and achieving revenue goals.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Proficiency in revenue management software (e.g., IDeaS, Duetto) and PMS systems.
• Excellent understanding of hotel operations and distribution channels.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
• Must be based in South Africa and eligible to work remotely.
